Smoked Tofu!

A slice of smoked tofu in a plastic baggie somehow got tucked behind the carton of eggs in the door. Whoops!

We started smoking tofu a couple of years ago, after tasting the results of smoking tofu and other soy foods at Dragon Fly Neo V Cuisine here in Columbus, a world-class vegan restaurant with Magdiale Wolmark, one of the most creative chefs around. So we bought a smoker, and have been smoking tofu, tempeh, and assorted vegetables ever since.

Smoked tofu is terrific. But not when it gets lost behind the eggs!

This is the result of a container of hummos left for bit too long; nice range of colors, though--from the light pink at the lower left through the brown at the top and the slowly increasing, full-fledged green/blue mold next to the brown!
